The family would like to thank Dion, Summer and Whitney with Hospice Plus Terrell for the outstanding care of Nancy.

Nancy was born on January 27, 1931 in Chicago, IL to Rollin Fisk and Helen (Scudder) Fisk. She spent her childhood in Wheaton IL, before her family moved to San Antonio, TX when she was a teenager. San Antonio was her favorite town. Nancy worked at the Veterinarians office at the King Ranch in her college years. Nancy was an elegant woman, very well-known and a beloved citizen in the Mabank area. She was a loving step-grandmother to 6 grandchildren, who cherished the wonderful times at the farm with the horses during the year and on holidays. She was graceful and kind, mothering her blended family. Nancy loved horses and trained horses professionally, she wanted to teach everyone to ride. Nancy learned training of horses from Walter Chapman, the first trainer in the Arabian Hall of Fame. While under his tutoring she competed in Harrisburg Pennsylvania and Devon Pennsylvania International horse shows where she competed on the Arabian Tazleigha, the National Top Ten western pleasure mare of all breeds that year. She also broke the young stallion Surf and rode him in his first show. Surf later went to the famous Glenlock farm and became their number one stallion, and claim to fame. She married E.A. Cade on July 11, 1961 and lived in Mabank, TX. Her special horse was Snowflake; a big white Tennessee Walking Horse. Snowflake and Nancy became locally famous in East Texas after a beautiful and inspirational dressage exhibition at the Cedar Creek Riding Club In 1970 and from that time forward everyone knew Nancy and her “Big White Horse” Snowflake. She retired from UT Southwestern in 1995 after ten years working for Dr. Jalal in the research department. She loved her dogs, Bobby, Judy, Corky and Buddy and will be remembered for how much she loved and cherished her family.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Jennifer; stepdaughters, Carollyn Greene of Garland, TX and Angela Cade of Kemp, TX.

Nancy was preceded in death by her beloved husband, E.A. Cade who passed away at 79 years in 2000; stepson, Clifford Cade SR; Twin brother, Donald Fisk and sister, Barbara Green.
