Mark Wilson

November 14, 1969 — December 2, 2020

Mark Wayne Wilson, 51, of Wills Point, TX, passed away in Sunnyvale, TX. on Dec. 2, 2020. He was born in Terrell, TX. on Nov. 14, 1969, the son of Paul Edward Wilson and Brenda Joyce Honeycutt Wilson.

Mark was a talented sketch artist who loved drawing monster trucks, muscle cars and farmhouse landscapes reminiscent of days gone by. He enjoyed watching horror movies from his extensive collection (the scarier, the better) and listening to classic country music, especially George Strait. He liked using tools to tinker around with his cars. His infectious laugh could be heard throughout the house as he watched his favorite TV comedies like The Dukes of Hazzard (the Dukey Boys as he called them).

Those left to cherish his memory are his sister, Debbie Gray and husband Mark of Scurry, sister Lisa Turner and husband Glenn of Wills Point, brother Ricky Wilson and wife Kristi of Wills Point, brother Chad Wilson of Corsicana and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He is also survived by the love of his life, Melodie Cooley, with whom he recently shared some of the happiest months he had ever known.

Mark was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Brenda Wilson.

The family plans to hold a celebration of Mark’s life at a later date.
