Gary Richard (Buddy) Honeycutt, SR, age 72, of Kaufman TX, (formerly Edgewood) has passed on to be with our Lord and Savior, November 14, 2021.

Funeral service will be held at 12:00P.M. on Saturday, November 20, 2021 at Goggans Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow at Rader Cemetery in Kaufman. Visitation will be held from 6:00P.M. to 8:00P.M. on Friday, November 19, 2021 at Goggans Funeral Chapel.

Gary was born in Dallas, TX, on October 11, 1949. He was the first son to be born to Wallace Henry Honeycutt and Annie Ruth (Williams) Honeycutt. He grew up in Dallas and Lancaster, TX, and started his career as a plumber; later would own an auction mobile home transport company, MH park, and antique shop with his wife.

Gary married Brenda Newell (Pate) Honeycutt on the 4th of July, 1986 in San Antonio, TX, and fireworks would follow for 35 years. He had 5 children, 2 together, 13 grandchildren and 7 greatgrandchildren he loved dearly. Gary SR and Brenda would make their home of 25 years on their farm in Edgewood, TX, with the last 2 years being in Kaufman, TX. Gary had a love for playing the guitar and singing country music, road trips to the casinos, golf, being a great Papa and telling a good story whether it be fact or fiction!

Gary is survived by his wife of 35 ½ years, Brenda; sons, Gary R. Honeycutt JR and wife Jamie of Red Oak TX, James Honeycutt and fiancé Narona Bates of Edgewood TX; daughters, Kristi Honeycutt and Cindy Honeycutt both of Dallas TX, Chanessa Honeycutt of Edgewood TX; 13 grandchildren and 7 greatgrandchildren; brothers, David C. Honeycutt SR and wife Sondra of Red Oak TX, Wallace Gene Honeycutt of Seagoville TX, Michael Honeycutt (deceased); sisters, Sheila Petta and husband Frank Petta of Wilmer TX and Deborah Ryan of Lancaster TX; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents, W.H. Honeycutt SR and Annie Ruth Honeycutt; brother, Michael Honeycutt; father in law, Jackie Pate and mother in law Betty Jo Pate; nephew, Jeremy Deluca.

He will be truly missed by all.
