Donna Ozbun

Donna was born in Texarkana, Arkansas on February 24, 1945 along with her twin sister Linda, to Don Harold Burnley and Ruth McGlothlin Burnley. Donna was raised in Diboll, TX and passed gently away after a short illness in Forney, Texas. Donna was a long-time employee of EDS, and was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend and will be sorely missed. Donna was preceded in death by her grandparents, Carl and Gertrude McGlothlin; parents, Don Burnley and Ruth McGlothlin; spouses, Harold D Kelsey and Dale Ozbun; as well as her beloved daughter, Ruth Marie Kelsey.

Donna is survived by her sisters, Katherine White and family, Linda Martinez and family; daughters, Shannon Kesley and her husband Patrick Squire; Karen and her husband John Stacey; granddaughters, Whitney and her husband Kambel Klapp, Matilda Squire, Emily and Averi Stacey. Donna was a loving and doting great-grandmother to Bishop and Wyatt Klapp.

Donna is also survived by her dear friends Kim Koukos and JD Robb, as well as her “best boy” Rocket, and Peggy who were her devoted companions.

Per Donna’s wishes there will be a family only memorial service at the home of Whitney Klapp on May 21, 2022. Donna will have her ashes scattered along with those of Ruth Marie in Ireland date to be determined, per both of their final wishes.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Kaufman or Rockwall County Animal Shelter.
