Zon Thomas, Sr.

Zon Edward Thomas, Sr., 67, of Ben Wheeler, passed away on March 7, 2011. He was born on January 31, 1943 in Elmo, the son of Ben Edward and Flora Alice (Flatt) Thomas. Zon was a house painter before his retirement. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Brian Thomas; and brother, Lamont Thomas. Left to cherish his memory are his two sons, Zon E. Thomas, Jr. of Ben Wheeler and Ronny Thomas of Italy; two daughters, Sonja Pettis and her husband John of Canton and Sabrina Martindale of Tulsa, OK; two sisters, Erma Austin of Terrell and Wyvone Jayno of Antlers, OK; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren. His family is planning a memorial service at a later date.
