Walter Shipman, Sr.

Walter R. Shipman, Sr., 81, passed away on June 10, 2013 in Canton. He was born on March 5, 1932 in Ashtabula, OH to his parents Miles and Sarah Shipman. Those left to celebrate his life include his wife, Grace Shipman; sons, Walter Shipman, Jr., Gregg Shipman, Jeff Shipman, Bill Shipman, and Mike Shipman; daughters, Jo-An McKee and Paula Stowe; step-Daughters, Anita Elaine Newsome and Edith Marlene Raney and her husband Tom; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Walter is preceded in death by his first wife, Jean Shipman; a daughter, Diana Hamond; and his parents, Miles and Sarah Shipman. There are no services scheduled at this time.
