Wallace Gibson

Wallace Gardner Gibson, also known as Wally Pa, 62 of Terrell, went home to be with our Lord August 5, 2010 after a vigorous battle with cancer. He was born on January 24, 1948 in Louisville, Kentucky, the son of Charles Alpha Gibson and Thelma Louise (Garing) Gibson. He married PJ Hyett on July 24, 1982 in Dallas. He served in the United States Armed Services with distinction and honor, including a tour in Vietnam. He was employed in the computer service industry over 35 years in the metroplex area. Wally was employed by Decision One for 25 years in addition to the City of Dallas. His current employer of three years was NCE Computer Group. He was of the Baptist Faith. Mr. Gibson is survived by his wife of 28 years, PJ Gibson; his mother, Thelma Louise Walther of Louisville, KY; brother, Charles Anthony Gibson of Orlando, FL; three daughters, Jennifer Heine and significant other, James Greenup of Forney, Tammy Barrett of Caddo Mills, and Kimberly Allen of Arlington; son, Jeffery Gibson of Arlington; eight grand children, Brittany West Cavanaugh and husband John of Terrell, Jordan and Cody Yates of Forney, Taylor and Hayden Whitaker of Caddo Mills, Bryan Meeks of Forney, and Joshua and Jacob Allen of Arlington; one great granddaughter, Jillian Cavanaugh; aunt, Elsie Cornell of Louisville, KY; a very special family friend, Jerry Smith of Terrell; and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in his death by his father. His funeral service, under the direction of Goggans Funeral Home, will be Monday, August 9, 2010 at 1:00 pm in the funeral homes chapel. Interment will follow the service at Grove Hill Memorial Park in Dallas. Visitation with the family will be Sunday from 4 to 6 pm at the funeral home.
