Thomas Shaw

Thomas Lewis Shaw, 77; passed away on Wedneday, December 11, 2013 in Terrell, Texas. Thomas was born to Weldon and Edda Mae Shaw on September 7, 1936 in Greenville, Texas. He met and later married the love of his life, Betty Holcomb on March 16, 1956 in Greenville, Texas. Thomas served his country with honor and distinction for over twenty years in the United States Navy and was a combat veteran of the Vietnam Conflict. After his retirement from the Navy, Thomas went to work for and retired from L3. Thomas is preceded in death by his parents, Weldon and Edda Mae; his brother James Shaw and one son, Thomas E. Shaw. Those left to celebrate his life includes his wife of fifty-seven years, Betty; sons, David Shaw and Eartis Shaw; daughter, Cheri Harper and her husband David; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; as well as numerous extended family, friends and neighbors. A celebration of Thomas' life will be held on Friday, December 13, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at the Emmanuel Baptist Church in Terrell, Texas.
