Terri Smith

Terri Frances Smith, 52; passed away on Sunday, May 5, 2013 in Greenville, Texas. Terri was born October 6, 1960 to Francis and Marilyn Jones in Dallas, Texas. She met and later married Bill Smith on March 10, 1986 in VanZandt County, Texas. To this union was born a son, Jeffrey Dean JD Smith. Terri was a homemaker for most of her life. She worked for a time in food preparation at a hospital and later in housekeeping at Wal-Mart. But the job she loved most was raising and caring for her son, JD. Terri cherished the role of mother, grandmother sister and daughter the most. Her family was her passion. She was always proud of her son, JD. Terri is preceded in death by her mother, Marilyn Jones. Those left to celebrate her life include her son, JD Smith and his wife Cristy; grandson, Jordan Dean Smith; father, Francis Jones; sister Traci McLemee and her husband Gary; brother, Donald Jones and his wife, Marcia; as well as, numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. A Celebration of Life in Terris honor will be held on Friday, May 10, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
