Roger Sartain

Roger "Pa" Sartain, 54, went to be with his Heavenly Father while hunting, which was what he loved, on October 29, 2015 in Wood County. Memorial service will be held at 12:00pm Sunday, November 8, 2015 at Souls Refuge Church, 413 Bois D' Arc Street, Forney, Texas with Pastor Randy Franklin officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Goggans Funeral Home in Terrell. Roger was born August 12, 1961 in McKinney, Texas to James F.B. Sartain and Ressie Faye Watkins Sartain. He married Lisa Marie Perkins June 18, 1983 in Dallas County. He was a carpenter and he helped build the Souls Refuge Church, where he dedicated his life to the Lord after the completion. Roger is survived by his loving wife of 32 years Lisa Sartain of Mesquite; sons Matt Sartain and Jake Sartain both of Mesquite; daughter-in-law Tabitha Sartain of Mesquite; former daughter-in-law Melissa Gant of Seagoville; grandchildren Emily Pruett of Greenville, Gavyn Sartain, Rayleigh Sartain, and Jake "Bubba" Sartain Jr all of Mesquite; his mother Ressie Sartain of Granbury; brothers Jerry Sartain of Dallas, and Ricky Sartain and wife Vickie of Granbury; mother-in-law Jeline "Mammy" Perkins of Mesquite; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles and a host of friends.
