Roel Munoz Rosa

Roel ‘Roy’ Rosa, 66 years of age from Terrell, TX went to be with the lord on August 10, 2024. Roy was known for many things, he was especially known for being a mechanic and could fix anything. Roy was the life of any gathering. His smile was infectious, and his laugh was thunderous and filled any room when he was in it. Roy lived life like there was no tomorrow and enjoyed each day to the fullest. 

One of Roy's proudest but yet saddest moments was his fight for life; but even more proud of him because even with his dementia he knew he was ready to meet god and begin his beautiful life in a place we all ache to be when our time comes. 

Roy had a few hobbies he loved. His most favorite thing to do was ride his tractor and would call for it every day even up to the end as he was fighting in his last days. He also loved to be outside and working on things, we don’t really know if he fixed them or messed them up more, but one thing is for certain he loved to be out in the shop with tools in his hands.

There are no words really to describe Roy, he was a very different individual and we all loved him no matter the situation. We all as a family are so blessed and consumed by his memories. He was so involved in all of our lives. Roy was a dare devil and was not scared to live and we admire him for not being scared to enjoy life. He is best described as living life ‘pedal to the metal’. He loved fast cars and motorcycles and racing.

Roy was well known for being a family man. A favorite memory of Roy was his love for things like trips to the store with his grandchildren. Every time he went you could guarantee that there would always be pictures with a story behind what happened at the store. He loved all his grand babies and great grand-babies. He literally lived for them and they loved him equally as much. They were all best friends. 

It is difficult to take 45 years of memories and try to trap Roy’s life into one obituary, Roy, Dad was so much bigger than that. His presence in your life was huge and full. He would fill such a big piece of your heart. He loved his sisters, brothers, nieces and nephews. When it’s said that Roy was a part of everyone’s life that’s exactly how it was. There are so many stories that can be told about him even here today. He was even a huge part of my best friend and her kid’s life also. Dad was everywhere and loved by everyone. To say you knew him was to love him, a friend of mine said and man there couldn’t be any truer spoken words for him.

Those left to cherish the loving memory of Roy are his daughter Hillary R. Aranda; Hector Aranda his son in law; Vanessa Aranda, granddaughter and Gerardo Guerra, grandson in law (Vanessa’s Spouse); Audrieanna Rosa, granddaughter and Corey Champlin, grandson in law (Audrieanna’s Spouse); Cali Aranda, granddaughter; Elijah Aranda, grandson; Ayvalyn Guerra Aranda, great granddaughter; Ismael Guerra Aranda, great grandson; Greyson Champlin, great grandson; Jayden Guerra Aranda, great grandson; Judy and Guadalupe Hernandez, Sister & Brother in Law; Hilda Ozuna, Sister; Johnny and Maria Rosa, Brother & sister in Law; Jose M. Rosa, Brother and Joe Rosa, Roy's Brother. Roy had a lot of nieces and nephews he loved equally as well.

Roy was proceeded in death by Sarah Rosa his wife; Amelia Munoz Roy's mother; Jose Maria Rosa his father; his brother Emerencio Rosa and his brother in law Joel Ozuna.

Roy will be missed by many other family and friends.
