Riley Hooper

Riley Hooper, 85, passed away August 23, 2012 in Kaufman. He was born June 3, 1927 in Wellington, the son of William Riley Hooper and Mamie Jewel (Ivy) Hooper. Riley married Ruby Bosley on December 17, 1963 in Amarillo. He was a carpenter before retiring and a member of Rafter J. Cowboy Church in Terrell. He also served in the US Navy during WWII. Mr. Hooper is survived by his wife, Ruby Hooper of Elmo; five children, Walter Loyd, Harvey Loyd and wife Linda, Darlene Johnson, June Dunsford and husband Gary, and Diane Johnson and husband Tom; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren; He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Loyd Hooper; and sister, Evelyn Hooper. His memorial service will be Saturday, August 25 at 10:00 am at Rafter J. Cowboy Church. In lieu of flowers the family request that memorial donations can be made to the Rafter J. Cowboy Church building fund.
