Antonio Castaneda, born Pedro Ramirez Gonzales on June 14, 1971, in Mexico, passed away on July 29, 2025, in Dallas, Texas, after a long and courageous battle. He was 54 years old.
At the age of 14, Antonio came to the United States in pursuit of a better life — a journey marked by perseverance, sacrifice, and deep love for his family. A hard worker throughout his life, Antonio dedicated himself not only to providing for his own needs but also to uplifting those around him.
In 2001, Antonio began a love story with Yesenia Díaz that blossomed into a lasting bond. The couple were married in 2016 and built a life filled with love, resilience, and devotion.
Antonio was a proud and loving father to his children: Berenice, Irania, Georganna (1998–2019), Emilye, Trinidad, and Gael. He was also a cherished grandfather to Yaxeli, Axel, and Ja’Quan.
He is survived by his father José Reyes Castaneda; siblings Norma, Francisco, Maria, Claudia, and Victor Castañeda ; his mother Rosa Maria Saldes; and extended family including Juan Saldes, Benigno, and Israel Duran. His legacy lives on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
Antonio will be remembered for his strength, his quiet generosity, and his deep commitment to his family. Though he faced many challenges, he did so with determination and dignity, leaving behind a legacy of love, perseverance, and unwavering support.
