Opal Ford

Opal Fay Ford, 91, of Terrell, passed away on April 23, 2010. She was born on March 25, 1919 in LaRue, the daughter of Willie Upton Rogers and Ada Anna (Perry) Rogers. She married Cecil John Ford in Dallas on August 17, 1968. She was a nurses aide in home health care. She was a member of Black Jack Baptist Church. Opal is survived by her daughters, Carolyn Sue Jones and her husband Billy of Kaufman, Barbara Leese and her husband Nevin of Terrell, and daughter-in-law, Connie Pollard; sister, Joyce Hardin of Lake Worth; 11 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, 7 great great grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, her parents, son, Everett Dale Pollard, and grandson, Jeremy Don Pollard. Her memorial service, under the direction of Goggans Funeral Home, will be Sunday May 2, 2010 at 3:00 PM in the funeral homes chapel with Pastor Pat Cooper officiating.
