Misty Figueroa

Misty Leigh Figueroa, 29, passed away on October 2, 2014 in Terrell. She was born on May 3, 1985 in Terrell the daughter of William and Suzanne (Dillard) McWha. She married Christian Figueroa on May 31, 2009 in Terrell. Misty attended Terrell and Wills Point High Schools and graduated from Wills Point High School in 2003. She developed her love for Youth Rodeos and in 2000 she was the Lonestar High School Rodeo Queen. She loved her horses and was an accomplished barrel racer. She loved animals in general but had a weakness of rescuing stray dogs. Misty is preceded in her death by her father, William McWha; her grandmother, Sue Finley; and her mother-in-law, Christina Figueroa. Those who are sharing the memory of her life are her husband, Christian "Kiki" Figueroa; daughter, Avery Figueroa; mother, Suzanne McWha; sister, Monica Raines Nichols and her husband Andy; brothers, Gray McWha and his wife Carla, Shane McWha and his wife Kristy, and Cole McWha and his wife Lori; her father-in-law, Dr. Sergio Figueroa; sisters-in-law, Sandra Rohde and Christina Graves; and nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. A memorial service will be held on October 8, 2014 at Goggans Funeral Home at 10 AM with Pastor Rusty Hathcock officiating. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, that your donation be made to the Terrell Animal Shelter in memory of Misty.
