Mildred Teel

Mildred Frances Teel, 92, of Canton, passed away on Friday, October 2, 2015 in Tyler Texas. Mildred was born on November 22, 1922 to Thomas and Callie Tallent in Elmo, Texas. She met and married Wilford Teel in 1942. They would have two sons, Nathan and Jerry. Mildred worked for many years for Sears-Roebuck Department Store. She was a member of the Canton Church of Christ. Mildred is preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Callie Tallent; Wilford Teel, her husband of 47 years; sisters, Ruby Marshall and Geraldine "Curlie" Paty. Those left to cherish her memory include her sons, Nathan Teel and his wife Joyce, Jerry Teel and his wife Joyce; grandchildren, Jason Teel, Deanna McGee, Trisha Delorme and her husband Danniel, James Teel and Janet Teel; great grandchildren, Persephone, Trinity and Tristan; sister Patsy Fleetwood and her husband Marvin; as well as numerous extended family, friends and neighbors. A funeral service will be held at the Canton Church of Christ on Tuesday, October 6, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. immediately before the service. The interment will be at Highland Memorial Park in Terrell, Texas later that same afternoon.
