Martha Martin

Martha Lynell Martin, 69; of Terrell, Texas passed away on Friday, October 10, 2014. Martha was born on June 8, 1945 to Ira and Fern Louise Martin in Dallas, Texas. Martha made her profession of faith in Christ as her Savior when she was a child of eleven and served him the rest of her life, remaining a faithful member of the Assembly of God Church. Martha married when she was fourteen and became the mother of five beautiful baby girls, Tamra Carolyn, Cynthia Lynnette, Tina Louise, Lynita Ann and Regina Fay. Martha and her mother, Louise Martin, would raise her five daughter with the Lord's help. Martha retired from WalMart after fourteen years to care for her mother, Ms. Louise. Martha felt blessed having the help of her mother and her Lord Jesus Christ to raise and care for her family. Martha is preceded in death by her parents, Ira and Fern Louise Martin, and two grandson, Craig Baggett and Joseph Norman. Those left to celebrate her memory include her daughters, Tamra C. Elkins, Cynthia Beaver and Bill Ayers, Tina Norman and her husband Donny, Lynita Elkin and her husband Dan Lewellen, and Regina Kaiser and her husband Kevin; fifteen grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, as well as numerous extended family, friends and neighbors. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Monday, October 13, 2014 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. A funeral service will be held the following day, Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. also at the funeral home. The interment at Laurelland Memorial Park will immediately follow the service.
