Martha Jones

Martha Ann Jones, 68, of Terrell, passed away September 9, 2011 in Rockwall. She was born August 10, 1943 in Dallas, the daughter of R V Tison and Elsie Jean (Sutherland) Tison. Martha married Walter E Jones on March 24, 1975 in Durant Oklahoma. She served in the Army and was a member of the First Missionary Baptist Church of Terrell. She is survived by her husband; seven children, William Bill Long and wife Colette, Kristi Long and Alvin, Robert Jones and wife Joyce, Sylvia Weaver and husband Eugene, Grace Zanolini and husband Steve, Daniel Jones and wife Vicki, and Dennis Jones and wife Sheila; mother Elsie Jean Tison; 20 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; three sisters, Carol Stroud and husband Garland, Mary Lou Barfield, and Jackie Hammonds and husband Harold; one brother, Robert Tison and wife Debbie; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. She is preceded in death by her father; son, Bruce Long; daughter, Karen Edwards Ferrell; grandson, Joshua Jones, and granddaughters, Tiffany Zanolini and Patricia Edwards. Her memorial service will be Saturday, September 17 at 11:00 AM at First Missionary Baptist Church in Terrell with Brother William Jackson officiating. Her arrangements were made through Goggans Funeral Home.
