Marguerite Maloney

Marguerite M. Maloney, 93, resident of Terrell, passed away on Saturday, January 23, 2010. Marguerite was born on August 28, 1916 in Purcell, Oklahoma, the daughter of Frank and Annie (Cardinal) Dumas. She married Jerry Maloney on May 1, 1954 in Dallas. He preceded her in death on February 12, 2000. She had been a long time member of St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church in Talty and St. John the Apostle Catholic Church in Terrell. She is survived by two special nieces, Marguerite Luttrell and her husband Tod of Norman OK and Tara McGowan and her husband Lee of Washington, OK; two special nephews, Robert Mahaffey and his wife Priscilla of Farmers Branch and David Mahaffey and his wife Sandra of Terrell; and numerous other nieces, nephews, and other relatives. She is also preceded in her death by her parents and four sisters, Frances Mahaffey, Pauline Wilson, Helen Shea and Louise Didier; and three brothers Oscar Dumas, Henry Dumas and Clarence Dumas. Her funeral service, under the direction of Goggans Funeral Home (www.goggansfh.com), will be Tuesday, January 26, 2010 at 11:00 am at St. John the Apostle Catholic Church, 701 N. Frances, in Terrell, Father James Orosco officiating. Her burial will follow the service at 1:00 pm in Oakland Memorial Park in Terrell. In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made in Marguerites memory to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, 262 N. Danny Thomas Blvd., Memphis, TN 38105.
