Kristie Renee Cheesman (Mclemee) age 46, of Terrell, passed away on December 16, 2021 with her family by her side, after a long battle against breast cancer. She is now with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Kristie was born in Terrell, Texas on June 09, 1975. She was the only daughter of Thomas McLemee and Brenda Johnson. She met her best friend and soulmate 33 years ago when she was 13 years old. They would be celebrating 27 years of marriage on December 23. Together they shared a life full of joy and love raising their 3 daughters and enjoying their 2 grandchildren who were her world.
Kristie had a love for God and loved to study his Word and read Christian books, the Reformers and Puritans especially. She enjoyed family gatherings around the firepit and game nights full of laughter. She always looked forward to teaching at her weekly women’s Bible study. She had a passion for sharing the gospel with anyone and everyone she had the chance to. She was an amazing, loving and dedicated wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend. God and her family were her priority. Time spent with her grandchildren was precious to her and always brightened her day. She was compassionate, loving, generous and quick to forgive. No one ever left her presence without feeling inspired and uplifted. Kristie will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Kristie is survived by her husband Dennis, mother and stepfather Brenda and Jay Johnson, stepmother Loraine Mclemee, daughters Shawna Singleton and husband, Shayne, Areal Cheesman, Tiffany Cheesman, grandchildren Stella and Liam Singleton, brothers Glenn Mclemee, Riley Clark, Shane Sturdivant, Kenneth Sturdivant, numerous nieces and nephews, extended family and a host of friends.
She was proceeded in death by her father Thomas Mclemee, grandparents Charles and Emma Pearl Sanders, grandfather, Joe Holland, grandparents GB and Mary Jo Mclemee.
