Julia "Judy Bell" Barringer, 90; passed away on Saturday, June 28, 2014 in Sunnyvale, Texas. Judy Bell was born on June 30, 1923 to William L. and Fannie L Byrd in Fort Worth, Texas. Judy Bell met and later married William Sherrill Barringer on July 27, 1955. Judy worked for twenty years as an LPN at the Terrell State Hospital. She had a passion for helping others. Her open heart and warm smile attracted people to her. She never met a stranger! But her greatest passion in life was her family. She loved to spend time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as her four legged companion Millie. She will truly be missed. Judy Bell is preceded in death by her parents, William and Fannie Barringer; husband, William Sherrill Barringer; sons, William "Willie" Moody and Barry "Rusty" Moody; stepdaughters, Judy Barba and Ethel Parr; sister, Dorothy Applewhite. Those left to celebrate her life include: sons, John Sidle, Sidney Barringer, Bert Barringer, daughters Penny Russell and her husband Ron, Megan Barringer; stepsons William Barringer, Jr. and his wife Jan,Albert Barringer and his wife Cindy; twenty-six grandchildren; twenty-four great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; as well as numerous friends and neighbors. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Tuesday, July 1, 2014 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. A funeral service will be held the following day, Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. also at the funeral home. Interment will immediately follow the service at Highland Memorial Gardens in Terrell.
