Jeffery Samples

Jeffrey Clyde Samples, Sr., 51, resident of Elmo, passed away February 22, 2010 in his home. He was born on November 5, 1958 in Terrell, the son of Jessie Cleveland and Virginia Ruth (Mays) Samples. Jeff married Karen Boyd in Kaufman, on October 31, 1980. He was a mechanic and owner of Samples Auto Repair in Elmo. Jeffs family that is cherishing his life and dear memories are as follows: his wife Karen B. Samples; two sons, Jeffrey Clyde Samples, Jr. of La Crosse, Wisconsin; Jesse Cleveland Samples, and wife Lindsay of Elmo; two daughters, Brandi Paige Chanthaseng and husband Thong of Terrell and Angela Marie De La Rosa of Kaufman; his Mother Virginia of DeKalb; one brother, James Samples and wife Julie of Elmo; one sister, Cynthia Pratt and husband Mark of Elmo; grandchildren, Skye, Tiffany, Anthony, Lora, Julia, Alex, Lana, Mackenzie, Jacob, Andrew, Cheyanne, and Dakota; nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends . He is preceded in death by his father. His funeral service, under the direction of Goggans Funeral Home, will be at 2:00 pm Thursday, February 25, at the funeral home with Dicky Boyd officiating. His burial will follow the service in the Elmo Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be Wednesday night from 6:00 to 8:00 at the funeral home.
