James Lipscomb

July 3, 1971 — November 7, 2010

James Michael Lipscomb, 39 of Rowlett, former resident of Terrell, passed away on November 7, 2010. Michael was born on July 3, 1971 in Dallas, the son of James Robert and Anne (Lorehn) Lipscomb. He married Christian Chrissy Dawn Stribling. He was self employed doing home theater installations. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Rowlett. Michael will be remembered as an organ donor that benefited the lives of six people, one of which was a cousin of Chrissy. He is preceded in his death by his daughter, Mikela Elizabeth Lipscomb; his father Toby James Robert Lipscomb; sister, Jessica Lipscomb; grandfather, Edmond Louis Lorehn, Sr.; and aunt, Karel Lorehn Weighard. Mr. Lipscombs family members who are cherishing the memories of his life are his wife, Chrissy Lipscomb; son, Dillon Mikel Lipscomb; daughter, Melayna Hope Lipscomb; mother Anne Young and her husband Bob of Dallas; sister, Jordan Pass; brother Allen Lipscomb; nieces, Sloan & Sophie Shotton; grandmother, Dorothy Lorehn of Katy; numerous aunts, uncles, & cousins; step brother, Joseph Young of OK; mother-in-law, Pam Haskell of OK; brother-in-law, Ryan Haskell of OK; and sister-in-law, Heather Shotton and her husband John of OK. His funeral service, under the direction of Goggans Funeral Home, will be Friday, November 12, at 4:00 PM in the Rowlett First United Methodist Church with Bruce Archer officiating. Interment will be at a later date in the Greenhill Cemetery in Davis, OK. Visitation with the family will be Thursday night from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.
