Iva Morgan

Iva Nell Morgan, 88, of Wills Point, went home to be with the Lord on September 8, 2012. She was born April 3, 1924 in Union Valley Community, Hunt County, to Bill Bostick and Thelma (Williams) Bostick. She grew up in the Union Valley and Harris Chapel areas, near Terrell. She attended the Whitehead Country School in that area. Iva married Cecil Morgan on July 26, 1941 at Union Valley. They were married for 67 years before he passed away in 2008. She was a loving Christian wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker. She and Cecil made their home in the Terrell Community, raising two sons, Billy and Rickey. She was a long-time member of the First Assembly of God Church in Terrell until she and Cecil moved to the Wills Point area in 1993. Iva is preceded in her death by her husband, Cecil; parents, Bill and Thelma; an infant son, and several brothers and sisters. Iva is survived by her sons, Billy Morgan and his wife Sherry of Lone Oak and Rick Morgan and his wife Lauree of Terrell. Lovingly known as Nanny, she is survived by granddaughters, Beth Morgan Covington and Gabriel Morgan Vinson; grandsons, Jason Morgan, Jeff Morgan, Justin Morgan, Jerrod Morgan, and Tobin Morgan; several beloved great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; sisters, Billie Fay Reed, Betty Sue Hunter, Linda Boren; brother, Roy Bostick; and many nieces and nephews. Her funeral service will be Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Goggans Funeral Home with Brother Mike Williams officiating. Visitation with the family will start at 1:00 pm Wednesday before the service. The burial will be held privately at the Campground Cemetery in Poetry.
