Obituary for Helen Joe Moody Helen Joe Moody, 83, of Fairview, formerly of Terrell, passed away on January 19, 2011 in Plano. Helen was born on July 18, 1927 in Wills Point, the daughter of Alvin and Laura Laredo (McNorton) Montgomery. She was married to Ira Lewis Moody, Jr., who was retired district manager for Texas Power and Light in Terrell. She was a loving mother and wife who dearly loved her family. She was a member of the Terrell First United Methodist Church, active in the Terrell Garden Club, PTA, and Brownies leader in the Girl Scotts. She is preceded in death by her husband; parents; one sister, Melba Holloway; and brother, Donald Montgomery. Helen is survived by her children, Suzanne and her husband Timothy Keith Henthorn of Fairview and Randall Lewis Moody and his wife Margaret Sue of Allen; sister, Leta Trainer of Corpus Christi; two brothers, Bobby Montgomery of San Antonio and Tony Montgomery of South Texas; five grandchildren, Courtney Diane Holwerda, Jarrad Andrew Henthorn, Rachael Jordan Smith, Susan Kay Van Heusen, and Cynthia Gail Yates; six great grandchildren, Blake Alan Holwerda, Ava Suzanne Holwerda, Jack Ira Holwerda, Skylar Grace Smith, Austin Lewis Van Heusen, William Edward Van Heusen; and numerous nieces and nephews. Her memorial service will be at 2:00 PM on Saturday, January 29 in the chapel of Goggans Funeral Home with Pastor David Rucker officiating.
