Jerry’s journey was shaped by his steadfast commitment to family and community. Though his formal education concluded after the 10th grade of high school, his wisdom and approach to life transcended classroom walls. In 1988, he realized one of his proudest accomplishments when he opened E-Tex Auto Glass, a business he passionately owned and operated for 38 years. His entrepreneurial spirit was matched only by his dedication to his loved ones.

Known for his outgoing nature and quick wit, Jerry would do anything for anyone in need. His generosity and good humor left an indelible mark on everyone fortunate enough to know him. A true outdoorsman at heart, he cherished hunting and fishing, finding joy in working on his boat and engaging in yard work. Jerry was also a passionate collector, a testament to his appreciation for the little treasures life offers.

Above all, Jerry treasured spending time with his family and friends, whether they were gathered around for quiet moments or sharing laughter through hunting trips and fishing adventures. He held dear the memories created in these simple yet profound moments.

He is survived by his son Ronnie Moody and wife Darlene, daughter Tammy Moody, and son Ricky Moody and wife, Sheila. Jerry’s legacy lives on through his grandchildren Felicia, Nikki, Kristin, Korey, Drew, and Joshua, as well as his great-grandchildren Kynleigh, Brayden, Conner, twins Mac and Livie, Charlie, and Thomas. He is also remembered fondly by numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members who were touched by his kindness.

Jerry was preceded in death by the love of his life and wife, June Moody, his parents Lawrence Moody and Velma Lee Woolverton, and his siblings Douglas Moody, Doris Taraba, and Sandy Hankins. Their memories remain intertwined with his own, a thread of love and family that endures beyond the years.

Jerry Wayne Moody’s life was a testament to resilience, laughter, and love. He leaves behind a world made brighter by his presence and hearts forever shaped by his unwavering kindness. His spirit will continue to inspire all who knew him to live fully and love deeply.
