Georgia May (Strayhorn) Seale was born April 8, 1952 in Leonard Texas. Georgia spent her childhood years in Lockney, Texas. In 1993 she moved to Terrell, Texas where she spent her remaining years. Georgia is preceded in death by her grandfather, Virgil R. Strayhorn; her grandmother, Lettie Ann Strayhorn; father, August Strayhorn; mother, Dorothy Marie Strayhorn; brother, Paul Strayhorn; brother-in-law, Danny McCallough. She leaves behind theses to cherish her memory: husband, Roy Seale; sons, Tommy Williams, Donny Williams, Michael Williams and Randy Seale and his wife Maggie; daughter, Vicky Van Vleck and her husband Phillip; brother, Kenny Strayhorn; sisters, Sue Ann Jameson and her husband David, Kathy McCallough, Virgie Ransbuger and her husband Jeff, and Mary Frances Vandford; thirteen grandchildren; special friends, Sandra Lawrence, Debbie Henderson, Blair Henderson, and Yvonne Newman. Georgia spent fourteen years in law enforcement, eight years with Dallas County and six years with Garland Police Department. Georgia had two very special companions, her dogs, Dusty and Rex who loved her to the end. Georgia will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She had such a beautiful heart and spirit that will never be forgotten. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 11,2014 at 11 a.m. at Goggans Funeral Home with Pastor Buddy Sadler and Bro. Bill Jackson officiating. Interment will immediately follow the service at the Campground Cemetery in Poetry. A viewing and visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 10, 2014 from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
