Fred Holland

Fred Holland, 82, resident of Terrell, passed away February 10, 2010 in a Dallas hospital. He was born on June 9, 1927 in Beach, North Dakota, the son of John F. and Anna Mary (Billman) Holland. Fred married Mildred Lois Denton in Las Vegas, Nevada on March 5, 1971. He was a commercial truck driver for various companies during his career. He served his country in the United States Coast Guard being inducted on March 28, 1945. Freds family that is cherishing his life and dear memories are as follows: his wife, Mildred Holland; five sons, Dennis, David, Fred Jr., Bryan, and Ricky Holland; three daughters, Linda Kaiser, Connie Anderson, Melody Yoder; stepson, Lloyd Green; stepdaughters, Karen Benson and Dona Gail McWilliams; three sisters, Marian Carter, Dolly Taft, and Jackie Myrick; one brother, Alan Holland; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends. He is preceded in his death by his parents; stepson, Leland Green; two sisters, Betty Jane and Nona; and a brother, Sonny Holland. His funeral service, under the direction of Goggans Funeral Home, will be at 3:00 pm Sunday February 14, at the funeral home. His private burial will follow the service in the College Mound Cemetery.
