Fannie Shelton, 86, of Wills Point, passed away on September 18, 2010 in Tyler. She was born on August 30, 1924 in Alpine, the daughter of Rex and Myrtle Ruth (Smith) Russell. She is preceded in her death by her husband, John Franklin Shelton; her parents; daughter, Myrtle Shelton; granddaughter, Angie Sutton; sister Christine Ridgeway; and twin sister Flora Schanult. Left to cherish the memories of her life are her children, William Shelton of Garland, Donald Shelton of Seagoville, Merle Shelton and wife Margaret of Modesto, CA, Bonnie McMillon of Terrell, Russell Shelton of Pueblo CO, Ben Shelton of Charleston, AR, Lottie Walker and husband Ken of Jefferson, Johnny Shelton and wife Frankie of Fruitvale, and Helen Roberts of Wills Point; sister Lottie Essary of Lockhart; brother Gene Russell and wife Betty of Llano; 17 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Her Service, under the direction of Goggans Funeral Home, will be at 1:30 PM on Wednesday, September 22, at Goggans Funeral Home with Rev. Homer Morgan and Rev. Jimmy Sheppard officiating. Interment will follow the service at Highland Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the family will be from 6:00-8:00 PM on Tuesday at the funeral home.
