Obituary

Eduardo “Eddie” Gonzalez Reyes
“Kacho” “Baby”

Eddie was born December 29, 1970 in Piedras Negras, Coahuila Mexico and passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, surrounded by his family.
Eddie’s love is the emotional anchor of a life well lived, in all aspects, always thinking of others, NO MATTER WHAT!!! He was always ready to help others without judgement or expecting anything in return. That was his genuine heart. ♡
Even if you wrote a book, there’s not even enough words to describe what an awesome great person Eddie was.
Eddie loved his pets — his family dog “Peluchin,” 2 cats “El Puma,” “Cenizo” + some other cats. And if Eduardo knew you had pets, he would always ask about them.
He liked to watch T.V. shows, one favorite being “Happy Days” with “The Fonz.” 🙂
He loved going to the movies. The last movie he watched was “Spiderman” around 3–4 weeks ago with his brother Armando at Film Alley.
Eddie loved people, everyone he met, especially his family. And he was greatly loved and will be truly missed.
Eddie went to school in Mabank, TX, then family moved to Athens, TX, where graduated from High School and College.
He worked at Pep Boys in Sunnyvale for 27 years.
Eddie was a very intelligent man with an incredible great memory. He knew most people intimately and remembered details about their life.
He loved family get togethers, BBQ’s, and eating out. His favorite foods were “wings,” Pizza Hut, Soulman’s in Quinlan, TX, Smoke Monkey and Ice Cream.
He enjoyed going to car shows and swap meets with his brothers.
He also enjoyed trips with family to Oklahoma, Manzanillo Mexico, Marfa TX, and San Angelo, and was looking forward to the hope of healing to be able to take more trips with family.
Tio Eddie also loved music, especially from the 70’s and 80’s. He liked ACDC, Bon Jovi, ZZ Top, Kiss, Prince, Madonna, Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, Def Leppard, James Taylor, Eric Clapton “Tears in Heaven,” John Denver “Take Me Home,” John Lennon “Imagine,” Marco Antonio Solis.
Eddie is survived by:
Sister Luz Maria and husband Ramiro Galindo from Eagle Pass, with their 3 children, their spouses and 9 grandchildren.
Brother Armando and wife Fay Gonzalez from Terrell, TX, with their 3 children, 1 son in law and 4 grandchildren.
