Dorothea Estelle Syperda, 88, passed away on Friday, March 13, 2015 at her home in Terrell, Texas. Dorothea was born November 7, 1926 to Walter and Louise Suess in Yoakum, Texas. Dorothea worked for several years as a sales clerk-cashier in the retail industry. She loved being with people and sharing the love of her Savior in every word, action and deed. Dorothea was faithful member of the First Assembly of God Church in Terrell, Texas for many years; assisting in the various ministries of the church. Her warm smile and compassionate heart will truly be missed by all who knew her. Dorothea is preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Louise Suess; husbands, Henry Cutbirth, Jr. and Jacob Syperda; brothers Roland Suess, Otis Suess and Carl Suess. Those left to cherish her memory include her sons, Gary Cutbirth and his wife Jane, Michael Dwayne Cutbirth; daughters, Charlene Wisehart and her husband Ted, Beverly McHaffery; grandchildren, Chandra Poland and her husband Jeff, Heather Brady and her husband Patrick, Joy Coursey and her husband James, Holly Pickering and her husband Shawn, Dechen Ford and her husband John, James Cutbirth-Blackburn and his wife Deanna, Travis Cutbirth and his wife Brenda, Ryan Cutbirth and his wife Sara, Emily Thomas and her husband Brian, Alexander Cutbirth, ; twenty-seven great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; brother, Jack Suess; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, extended family, friends and neighbors. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 19, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Assembly of God Church, 203 Main Street, Terrell, Texas. The interment will immediately follow the service at Grove Hill Memorial Park in Dallas, Texas. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Dorothea's name to the First Assembly of God Church of Terrell, Texas.
