Desiree Henning, 46, of Terrell, passed away on Tuesday, December 16,2014 in Dallas. Desiree was born on November 28, 1968 to Jimmy and Sonya Hartzo in Alemeda, California. Desiree would meet and later marry Brian Henning on June 26, 1984 in Hugo, Oklahoma. To this union were born two sons, Christopher and Chase. Desiree spent her energy creating and maintaining a warm and safe home for her husband and sons. She pursued her passion for serving others through her active community service. Desiree served as Chairperson of the Policy Council for Head Start; President of the PTO of Kennedy and Burrell Elementary Schools; Council for District Safety Committee for the Terrell ISD. She also served as Chairperson of Boy Scout Troop 391; was a member of the Ladies Guild at St. John the Apostle Catholic Church and a member of the Poetry FUMC Quilting Circle. Desiree was a giving spirit with a servant's heart. She will truly be missed. Desiree is preceded in death by her grandparents, Jesse and Edna Hartzo. Those left to cherish her memory include Brian Henning, her husband of thirty years; sons, Christopher and Chase Henning; father, Jimmy Hartzo; mother Sonya Bartley; brothers, Mark Bryson and Jesse Hartzo; sisters, Diana Bryson and Chantel Trascher; as well numerous extended family, nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors. A memorial mass and celebration of Desiree's life will be held on Saturday, December 20,2014 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John the Apostle Catholic Church in Terrell. In Lieu of flowers the family has requested you bring an unwrapped toy to be donated to a local children's charity.
