Deryl Winton, 73, of Terrell, passed away on April 7, 2010. He was born on September 3, 1936 in Commerce, the son of Earl Gordon Winton, Sr. and Lois (Horton) Winton. Deryl married Ava Ann McCluer on May 28, 1955 in Commerce. Deryl owned and operated McCluer Laundry and Linen Services for over 30 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers, and one sister. His family that is cherishing the memories of his life are his wife Ann, his two daughters, Sherri Winton Gale of Terrell and Lisa Stevens and her husband Rocky of Edgewood; his sister, Betty Jean Shiflet and her husband Bill of Elkhart; five grandchildren, Chelsi Lux and her husband Tim, April DeLaCruz and her husband Jessie, Ashley Harper, Emily Bratz and her husband Josh, and Heath Harper and his wife Cassie; seven great grandchildren, Montana, Christopher, Maddie, Kelsi, Aubrey, Allison, and Henlee; many nieces, nephews, and lots of friends. His funeral service, under the direction of Goggans Funeral Home, will be Saturday April 10, 2010 at 10:00 am in the funeral homes chapel, with Pastor Jeff Foster officiating. His burial will follow the service in Oakland Memorial Park in Terrell. Visitation with the family will be Friday from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.
