Brenda Ann Berger Chriswisser

With profound sadness and immense love, we announce the passing of Brenda Ann Berger Chriswisser, who entered into the presence of her Lord on July 29, 2026, in Royse City, Texas, at the age of 77. She passed peacefully, surrounded by the close family members who cherished and adored her.

Born on August 25, 1948, in Houston, Texas, Brenda was a remarkable woman whose life was defined by strength, resilience, unwavering faith, and unconditional love. She was the backbone of her family—a steady source of comfort, wisdom, and quiet strength through every season of life. 

If you were fortunate enough to know Brenda, you knew how deeply she loved. Her love was steadfast, genuine, and impossible not to return. She was a woman of few words, but when she spoke, people listened. Her kindness, loyalty, gentle spirit, and quiet presence left a lasting impression on everyone she met.

Her greatest joy was her family. She loved her children, brothers, sisters, grandchildren, greatgrandchildren, extended family, and the many friends who became family along the way. Brenda's loyalty was unmatched, her heart was generous, and her quick wit and wonderful sense of humor could brighten any room.

Brenda was also deeply patriotic and took great pride in her love for the United States. She delighted in surrounding herself with everything red, white, and blue, proudly collecting decorations, clothing, and keepsakes that reflected her love of country. Her patriotic spirit was evident to everyone who knew her and was just another reflection of the pride, gratitude, and values she carried throughout her life. 

She found happiness in life's simple pleasures—spending time with her family, her new found Girl Gang of Great Grand Daughters ( No Boys Allowed!) , frequenting many quilt shows with her sisters and celebrating Christmas (her favorite time of year), enjoying a cold Diet Pepsi with no ice ("Don't want it watered down!"), savoring homemade banana pudding, collecting anything with pigs, and, above all, being surrounded by the people she loved most. 

Brenda was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert Lee Chriswisser, a proud retired United States Navy veteran; her cherished twin sister, Linda Catherine Berger, her first best friend and lifelong companion from birth; her brothers and sisters; and her beloved granddaughter.

She is lovingly survived by:  

1. JoAnn Woodall and her husband, Sean Woodall of Royse City, Texas.
2. Richard Kendall Jones and his wife, Karli Jones, and their daughter, Lillian, of Carrollton, Texas,  
3. Kristin Lacey Clark, her fiance', Jose Centeno, and their daughter, Jose LeAnn Woodall Centeno, of Lewisville, Texas.
4. Lane Andrewe Block of Frisco, Texas, 
5. Steve Berger and his wife, Lorri Berger, and their son, Clayton Berger, of Wills Point, Texas,
6. Kim Loflin Chriswisser, of Norwood, North Carolina,
7. Allen Chriswisser of Missouri and Johnnie Chriswisser of Missouri.

She is also survived by many extended family members and dear friends whose lives were forever touched by her love, kindness, and unwavering devotion. 

To know Brenda was to love her. Her legacy of faith, love, strength, patriotism, laughter, and devotion to family will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her. Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing that the love she gave so freely will remain with us always. 

She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.

Celebration of Life A Celebration of Life honoring Brenda Ann Berger Chriswisser will be held at a later date. Details will be announced once arrangements have been finalized. 

Following the Celebration of Life, Brenda will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband, Robert Lee Chriswisser, at the Dallas–Fort Worth National Cemetery, where they will be reunited in eternal peace. 

In Lieu of Flowers In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made to a veterans organization of your choice in honor of Brenda and her late husband, Robert, a proud retired United States Navy veteran. This tribute reflects their deep appreciation for those who have served our country and is a meaningful way to honor their enduring legacy. 

The family sincerely appreciates the love, prayers, and support shown during this difficult time and asks that you continue to keep them in your thoughts and prayers as they celebrate Brenda's beautiful life and enduring legacy.
