Billie Stanbery

Billie Jean Stanbery, 70, of Terrell, passed away on March 15, 2010 at her home. She was born on December 25, 1939 in Van Zandt County the daughter of Allen H. and Willie K. (Baker) Britt. Billie worked for Mead Products for many years, Terrell State Hospital for 16 years and at Calverts for many years. She enjoyed cooking for her family and friends. Billie also loved animals, especially her two dogs, TJ and Rowdy. Billie is survived by her daughters, Kristi Turner and husband Ronald and Kimberly Hailey and husband William, Jr.; sister, Charlotte Simms; grandchildren, Jason Peters, Alexandria Cockrill, Austin Brannon, and Journi Hailey. She is preceded in death by her husband Jerry Stanbery, her parents, and grandson Bradley Peters Her funeral service, under the direction of Goggans Funeral Home will be Friday, March 19, at 11:00 am at the funeral home, with Rev. Billy Martin officiating. Her burial will follow the service at Oakland Memorial Park. Visitation with the family will be Thursday night from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.
