Bill Jones

Bill Earl Jones, 82, of Lindale, passed away Wednesday night, December 23, 2009 in Tyler. Bill was born on November 21, 1927 in Oklahoma, the son of Lucian Jones. He married Mary Jo Patton on June 23, 1973 in Terrell. Bill had worked many years managing Giant Food Stores in Houston and he was a member of the Terrell First Church of Nazarene. Family members who are cherishing the memories of Bills life are his wife, Mary Jones of Lindale; three daughters, Dianne Gifford and her husband Russell of Sapulpa, Oklahoma, Carolyn Sims of Friendswood, and Kathy Jones of Las Vegas, NV; one son, Bobby Jones and his wife, Rolinda of Pasadena; seven grandchildren, Skyla Harvey, Brittany Suarez, Laura Malone, Bethany Jones, Timothy Jones, Jared Jones, and Luke Abruzzo; three great grandchildren, Chandlar Harvey, Chasity Harvey, and Olivia Suarez; two sisters and one brother; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Bill is preceded in his death by his parents and one sister. His funeral service, under the direction of Goggans Funeral Home, www.goggansfh.com, will be Monday, December 28, at 2:00 pm at the funeral home with Pastor Judy Castro and B. A. Patton officiating. His burial will follow the service in Oakland Memorial Park in Terrell. Visitation with the family will be Sunday from 2 to 4 at the funeral home.
