Avon Flanagan

Avon Curtis Flanagan, 91, of Terrell, passed away Sept. 25, 2011 in Terrell. He was born July 6,1920 in Wills Point, the son of Thomas A. Flanagan and Ollie Lee (Roberts) Flanagan. Curtis married Avis Myrtle Keys on Sept. 16, 1945 in Wills Point, Texas. He is survived by his wife, three children: Margaret Lane, James C. Flanagan and wife Sandra, David M. Flanagan and wife Carol; eight grandchildren: Kim Hague and husband Joey, Ammie Morgan and husband Kyle, Randy Truett and wife Heather, Chastity Holman and husband Robert, Cherish Flanagan, Chelsea Flanagan, Michael Flanagan and Scott Flanagan; ten great grandchildren: Travis Bearden, Jarrod Hague, Tyler Hague, Alex Morgan, Modesty Bowden, Tyson Truett, Trinity Truett, Mitchell Murry, Rylee Haven and Cooper Holman, numerous nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, three brothers: Author Lee Flanagan, James Wesley Flanagan, Willie Flanagan and one sister: Margie Counts. Funeral service will be Tuesday Sept. 27, 2011 at 10:00 AM Goggans Funeral Home Chapel with Casey Perry officiating. Visitation will be Monday night Sept. 26, 2011 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Goggans Funeral Home. Interment will be at White Rose cemetery in Wills Point,Texas.
