Angelena Bryant-Comeaux

May 28, 1974 — August 2, 2021

Angelena Beth Bryant-Comeaux, “Honey”, passed away peacefully on August 2, 2021, while in hospice care at the age of 47. We rejoice in Angel being a Child of God in that the darkness of death has been banished with the light of Christ’s own death and resurrection. Angel accepted Christ at age 14 at Balch Springs Baptist Church.

Angel was born on May 28, 1974, in Dallas, Texas, to father James E. Bryant, Sr. and mother Margie Corbitt. She grew up in Mesquite and attended Mesquite High School.

Angel’s love of life and people was evident in the way she lived. She has been an advocate for special needs children and has enjoyed working in the school setting for many years. She loved fishing, cooking, all things Coca-Cola and crafting. She was the best family Christmas planner of all time. She loved her Dallas Cowboys and all things pink and zebra.

Angel is survived by her husband, Bobby Comeaux, as well as her son Jake Bryant; her mother Margie Corbitt and step-father John Corbitt, her father James Bryant and step-mother Becky Bryant, siblings Ernie and wife Ali Bryant, Peggy Eaves, John and Marlo Corbitt, Katie and Gracee Leach, nephews Johnathan Eaves, Beau Bryant, Luke Bryant and Brock Corbitt along with many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Angel is preceded in death by her beloved grandparents Morris and Billie Baker, James A. Bryant, Irene O’Brian and cousin Kristy Smith.

Angel’s family and friends will miss her laughter and smile most of all! You never had to wonder if Honey was in the room. She loved people well.

A Celebration of Life will be held at c|Life Church on August 26, 2021, at 11 a.m.

So that the health of our family is respected, we ask that all be COVID conscious and wear a face mask. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to either Autism Speaks or Faith, Fight, Finish in Angel’s honor. Angel’s wish was for her friends and family to dress for a celebration in their casual clothes.
